Instructions
Prep:
Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper to ensure the chocolate-covered Oreos don't stick to the surface.
Melt the candy melts:
In a microwave-safe bowl, follow the package instructions to melt the candy melts. If using a microwave, heat them at 50% power in 30-second bursts, stirring in between to avoid overheating. If using a double boiler, stir over simmering water until fully melted.
Dip the Oreos:
Take an Oreo cookie and dip it into the melted candy melts, fully coating one side. Use a fork or a dipping tool and tap off excess chocolate against the bowl's edge.
Set the coated Oreos:
Place the chocolate-coated Oreos onto the lined baking sheet.
Repeat the process:
Keep dipping the remaining Oreos until you've covered as many as you like.
Decorate the dipped Oreos:
After the first coat of chocolate sets, melt another candy melt color following the same instructions. Put the melted candy in a piping bag, cut the tip, and drizzle it over the Oreos. Add sprinkles before it sets.
Let them set:
Allow the chocolate-covered Oreos to cool and harden completely. Speed up the process by refrigerating the baking sheet for a few minutes.
Store and serve:
Once the chocolate fully sets, store the chocolate-covered Oreos in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerated for up to 3 weeks.
